Brookdale Place University Park Healthcare is a 50,000 SF Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) which completes the continuum of care on Brookdale’s University Park Campus. The existing campus includes Independent Living (IL) Cottages, a combination IL and Assisted Living (AL) apartment building and currently under construction, a new 66 bed SNF. The new SNF will accommodate a Long Term Care Unit in one wing and a Rehab Unit in the other wing. This is a single story building with a covered entry, a full service Kitchen, two outdoor patios, two outdoor “front porches”, and open day lit Social Spaces throughout. The project site is part of a Planned Urban Development (PUD) and as such, had to go through a City Council hearings and approval process. It also includes a steep slope and 22 foot high retaining wall on the south side of the site. Brookdale Senior Living acquired an existing Senior Care Facility building and relocated the licensed beds to the new University Park site to complement their IL and AL offerings there.
