Marshall Cancer Center
Updated: Aug 1, 2018
TRO Jung|Brannen designed this freestanding two-story cancer center for Marshall Medical Center independent from, but with linkages to, their existing Professional Center. The covered drop-off canopy welcomes visitors, provides a covered connection to the adjacent professional diagnostic center and visually unifies the two buildings into one campus. Provision for anticipated future expansion have also been made.
The new facility’s entrance boasts a two-story, day lit atrium with ample waiting space and a resource cafe for patients and visitors. Equipment includes a linear accelerator mazeless vault (Varian Clinac Trilogy linear accelerator system), sixteen infusion bays with a mix of private and open bay design with access to a private roof garden and soothing north daylight throughout the suite. The first floor offers a Health System Board Room for multi-purpose use. The Cancer Center also includes an Oncology Clinic with Exam/Treatment Rooms and a Minor Procedure Room.
Improvements to Highway 431 to add deceleration and acceleration lanes helped improve access to the Cancer Center.
